You're Turning Ultra Violet, Violet!

The famous words uttered by the father of the blueberry girl from Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. In fact, violet was turning more of blueberry shade than a violet but we can't help but think of this phrase when "violet" is uttered from the lips of just about anyone. This year, pantone and others are making a big to do about a color called "ultra violet."

Apparently deer shed their antlers.

Fall's here and we're feeling the layers. Right now we're working on adding the finishing touches to our Balsam Jacket. This beauty's made from 100% Organic Spiritex Lightweight French Terry and features a pleated scarf collar, tuck details to accentuate and flatter all shapes, and ethically sourced antler buttons (fun fact: deer shed their antlers).

What's in the works!

Today the sewing room has been working hard to crank out our newest RAD Dress. It's a sweatshirt, dress, hoodie, cowl hybrid so it couldn't be anything other than rad. Throw it on over your favorite shirt with some leggings or jeans or tights or whatever. Pants or no pants, this thing is probably the most comfortable piece of clothing that has graced any lady face.

Since we cut an sew most of our garments in house, we're generally left to problem solve in order to figure out how to utilize the scrap left over from the edges of the marker. The marker is all the pattern pieces laid out on a giant sheet of paper used to lay on top of the fabric to cut quickly and efficiently.

Ponchos for Fall!

So after asking ML for a poncho for a few years now, those of us askers have finally been granted a wish! We took some Spiritex luxuriously loopy heavy weight French Terry and cut it into a poncho, with a hood and a pocket!! It's pretty dope if I do say so myself. F'real, it's like a fashionable snuggie. The hood on this thing is a cowl hood combo kind of, omg so trendy.

What's in the works? Jogger Pants

Just in time for Fall, these pants feature deep pockets to keep your PKW (phone-keys-wallet) in place, even while you're active. It's funny how sometimes things with dual utility are so juxtapositional in their purpose, a lot like these pants. They are great for lounging about and doing absolutely nothing except to be cozy and ponder the origins of cake or for running around doing everything actively sweaty. We find ourselves doing both things excellently in these pants.
